A woman who is currently residing at Agege area of Lagos state was seen assaulting her twelve-year-old son.
Director of Citizens’ Rights questioned the woman and rescued the minor after he appeared on social media covered with blood.
According to the report reaching to us from Senior Public Affairs Officer, Mr Gbemisola Egbeyemi on Monday proves that the woman has been arrested and now in police custody.
The ministry also stated that when they visited the home, they notice that the victim was mercilessly by his mother.
Mrs Biola Oseni in her speech stated that “the rescue team did not meet the mother, but later sighted at a different location and was apprehended by government officials who took her to police custody for questioning” Egbeyemi the Director quoted.
The husband to the woman was mandated to provide the boy while the mother remains in the police custody.
The woman is said to appear in the court on Tuesday; the boy was taken to the ministry of Youth and Social Development for necessary action, also to place him in one of the government’s facilities.
