As the bandits ravaging the country’s North East region continues, investigations have shown that the insurgents and their weapons are brought into the country with helicopters to continue the mass destruction in the country.

This was revealed at a senate seating in Abuja.

A debate arose following a motion moved by Senator Barnabas Gemmade from Benue State over the increasing rate of insecurity in Northern Nigeria.

During the debate, Senator Abu Ibrahim from Kastina State made a shocking revelation that those attackers are not locals, but they are foreigners who were air-dropped from somewhere else, and they are dropped with their supplies.

Reacting to the debate, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe from Abia said Nigeria could go after those who come to drop these bandits to the country they are coming from since we already know a helicopter is used to bring in these insurgents.

Many of the senators called for the establishment of the state community police so that the communities can protect themselves against these insurgents because it has reached an alarming state.

Though we are yet to ascertain where the helicopters come from, a senior security official who wishes to be anonymous hinted that it could be from Libya.

When we contacted the Deputy Director Public Relations of the force, Colonel Onyema Nwachukwu, he said the country’s security and intelligence network are already working hard to uncover the truth.
