The National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin, has thrown his weight behind Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra who is seeking political disintegration from Nigeria.
Yinka, while speaking to Daily Post, said Nigeria has gotten to the point where a backup is “inevitable.” He further said that Nigeria is in the same state where USSR, Yugoslavia, got to before breaking up.
He further said, “ Obasanjo has made it clear in what he wrote if you don’t make use of the little opportunity and restructure this country, self-determination will become inevitable. The way power has been used in the past five years has ended up pushing many nationalists to that conclusion.”
He added that many parts of the country believe in self-determination and urge the country to take part in restructuring the country back to true federalism if they still want the one Nigeria project to work.
“If this country is not restructured, then break up is inevitable, we have reached the stage where USSR, Yugoslavia reached, and that’s why we should listen when men like Obasanjo, Gowon start warning us because a constitution that does not bend will break.
