As all state governors are busy seeking a way to curtail the spread of coronavirus in their state, the Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has declared a one-day prayer and fasting all over the state.
The Governor, while speaking on Sunday during the inauguration of the fund-raising committee on Convid-19, told the residents to pray and fast on Monday.
He disclosed that though medicals will do their best that the best fire for Convid-19 is prayer.
Ganduje pleaded with all the retired health workers to join hands in helping the states fight the virus thought Kano state is yet to record any case.
He said, “Nigeria has recorded over 90 cases if Convid-19, though Kano State is yet to record any case, this calls for the government to be up and doing to prevent the outbreak of the deadly virus.”
“I also call on all the people of Kano to observe a fasting and prayer tomorrow (Monday 30th March, and 5th Sha’aban and pray that the deadly coronavirus will not be found in our dear state.
“While the government will put all effort into taking curative and preventive measures against the Convid-19 pandemic, I call on all the people to intensify in prayers because it is the best fire for the virus.
“We have formed a committee to enable us to raise money to be able to help those the Convid-19 has affected economically.
