The Chinese Community has taken steps to attack black people living in their Communities over the outbreak of the COVID-19 in Wuhan.
According to a leaked report and reports from the BBC, the Communities have put on foreigners, especially black people, for bringing the deadly COVID-19 into their Community. This has caused a restriction on the blacks from using public facilities like the hospital, restaurant and the mall.
Meanwhile, other black business moguls and residents located in Southern City have been evicted from hotels and apartments as the health officials in the local district assume a testing campaign for the COVID-19.
“They are accusing us of having the virus. We paid rent to them, and after collecting our money, they chased us out of the house. Since last night we’ve slept outside,” an evicted identified as Tobenna Victor, a Nigerian Student stated.
Some residents reported to BBC that they had been evicted from the house while others also have been put into mandatory quarantine without knowing the results of the test conducted.
Although China denied that the virus was spreading in African Communities, the Chinese government on the 5th of April sent a memo to the Ghanaian high commission.
It reads
“I would like to keep you informed that for the god of public health, anyone (including Chinese Nationals) with overseas travel records will be required to undergo an epidemic investigation and PCR testing.”
