The Federal Government has given palliatives to the people of Lagos State and Ogun State; it will help to reduce stress and hunger on the citizen of the States as a result of the Lockdown order by the Federal Government.

Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Managements, and Social Development, Mrs. Sadiya Farouq met with Lagos State Governor to deliver the Federal Palliatives. Part of the palliative is a #20000 cash to each beneficiary

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu ask the minister’s team came to Lagos for the flag-off of the cash transfer and supply of relief materials like foods for the poor and susceptible including the aged, internally displaced persons, persons living with disabilities, petty merchants, street hawkers, laborers, amongst others.

In the same vein, Ogun state governor Mr. Dapo Abiodun confirmed that the state has also received the Federal Palliative. In his word, he said, “Truckloads of rice and one truckload of vegetable oil, was handed over by the Honourable Minister as part of the relief materials courtesy Federal Government to the state for further distribution to the poor, needy, vulnerable and elderly.”

The minister said that the process of the FG’s cash transfer to the less privileged in Ogun State is a matter of urgency. This is to ensure that the beneficiaries remain well during the COVID-19 lockdown.
