According to the first study to analyze the effects of the coronavirus, done by researchers at Huazhong University in Wuhan and The Barrow Neurological Institute in Arizona, the virus has been found to have some side effects on the brain.
The study found that there were neurological effects seen on a third of the patients hospitalized due to coronavirus, but it affects 45% of those who had a severe infection.
It has also been found that coronavirus causes body stroke. But it is not clear yet whether the virus is causing a direct stroke or as a result of the body’s inflammatory response; hence more research is needed by neurologists.
