Due to the Coronavirus that has been ravaging the whole world, everywhere has shut down and the universities are not left out.
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has appealed to President Buhari not to cut down the education and health budget.
Reacting in the official ASUU Twitter account, the union has asked the FG not to defraud the nation by adding together palliative funds for COVID-19 and social intervention funds.
ASUU may be pushing that their budget shouldn’t be slashed due to the ongoing strike action.
Both parents and students are tired of staying home and are all calling for the strike to be called off.
The FG should take the warning of ASUU serious of not cutting their budget if they want students to go back to school after the virus. This can lead to an indefinite strike.
