COVID-19: 36 State Governors Take Drastic Decision

The governors if the 36 states in Nigeria have jointly agreed to have a two weeks national lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The decision was reached by a joint meeting of all the governors on Wednesday.

Kayode Fayemi who doubles as the governor of Ekiti state and chairman of the forum said it has become necessary for the lockdown to happen following the continuous increase of cases all over the country.

Fayomi also said the governors have agreed to set up a regional COVID-19 committes which will be headed by the commissioners of health.

The governors also expressed concern over the rate by which our health workers get infected.
