Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) of Kano State Chapter has urged Governor Umar Ganduje to review the hazard benefits allowances for the frontline health workers who are risking their lives in the fight of coronavirus spread in the state.
Mr. Kabir Ado, the NLC chairman in his speech on Friday in Kano State, commemorates the workers day celebration and announce the upward review of the allowances to motivate and encourage them to put in their best in the fight of Covid-19 spread in the state.
According to him, the Kano state is the second state with the highest recorded confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Country.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has on Friday confirmed another Ninety-two new cases in the state, making it 219 cases.
We will also make provision for adequate personal protection equipment (PPE) and an upward review of hazard allowances to all categories of workers to ensure their safety.
