A former speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Na’Abba, who is from Kano State, is dead.
Ghali died in Kano state on Thursday from an undisclosed illness.
His death came at a time when there was a wild report of prominent people dying in the state mysteriously.
It is yet to be ascertsined what might be the cause of his death. COVID-19 cases have continuously been on the increase in the state.
Ghali Na’Abba was the speaker of the green chamber in the Nigerian National Assembly during the era of Olusegun Obasanjo as president between 2000 and 2003.
He played a very active role in seeing that the third term bid of President Obasanjo was not successful.
There are speculations just like it has always been in subsequent cases that he might have died of the dreaded Coronavirus.
