President Muhammadu Buhari has declared a design to sterilize and purify the school environment across the nation. Mr. Muhammad Mahmood, the minster of Environment, reveals this at the Nigeria Presidential Task Force instructions on COVID-19 in Abuja.
He further stated that the Federal Ministry of Environment would get the information of schools across the country from the Federal Ministry of Education before beginning the sterilization.
The minister of Environment, in his words, says, “We are starting a program of purifying and sterilizing our schools before they open.
“Since in this manner in the periods (of reviving the lockdown), I accept we will get to that moment that we begin opening the schools.
“In this way, we will liaise with the Federal Ministry of Education to ensure we have the required information to complete the activity.”
Though he noticed that the service had been putting forth attempts to start the program, yet he didn’t state when the activity will commence.
