Nigerians have on social media reacted to the decision of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state to destroy and demolish two hotels in the state for violating the lockdown order.
Earlier yesterday, Governor wike led a team of security officers with a bulldozer to demolish two hotels, the Edemeteh Hotel in Onne, and the Prodest Hotel, for violating the lockdown order in Port Harcourt and Obio/Akpor LGA.
The lockdown in the state was announced by the governor last week as part of measures to stop the spreads of the deadly virus, COVID-19.
While some Nigerians praised the governor for his action, others condemned him for demolishing the properties without legal backing.
