Osagie Ehanire, the Nigerian health minister, has disclosed that most people who die of COVID-19 in Nigeria are wealth and rich men.
He said they die because they decide to stay in their house and be treated instead of coming to the treatment centre.

The minister made this known during the briefing by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja on Tuesday, May 19.
He noted that the patients who chose to be taken care of at home are rushed to the hospital after serious competitions are noticed.
Ehanire said. “Not only are most fatalities observed to be linked with pre-existing diseases, but many of them are also educated well-to-do people, who chose home-based care where complications suddenly developed and they have to be rushed to the hospital,”
He advises anyone who tests positive of Coronavirus to seek medical attention and not to apply self-medication.
He pointed out that COVID-19 always cause the patient to have breathing complications, and these makes it risky for one to self-medicate.
