FG declared Monday and Tuesday as public holidays to mark Eid-el-Fitri Celebration.
The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, announced this on behalf of the Federal Government in Abuja on Thursday.

In a statement issued by the Director’s of Press in the Ministry, Mohammed Manga, Aregbesola called on Muslims to replicates the life of kindness, love, tolerance, peace, and good neighborliness as exemplified by the Holy Prophets Muhammad, (Peace be upon Him).

The Minister, who expressed his concern about the sudden ethnic conflicts that have recently resurfaced in some parts of Northern Nigeria, advised Nigerians to see themselves as a single entity and learn to tolerate one another despite their ethnic and religious differences.
