The Abia State Commissioner for Environment, Chief Solomon Ogunji Is dead.
The report was made known in a release issued by the Abia State Commissioner for Information, Okiyi Kalu John, and he made this available to reporters in Umahia on Sunday.
Solomon passed on Saturday at the State University Teaching Hospital, Abia State, after a brief illness relating to high blood pressure.
However, the Executive Governor of the state Okezie Ikpeazu has expressed his sympathy and shock over the unfortunate death of the Chief Solomon Ogunji.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu further consoled with the family of the bereaved, friends, and well-wishers.

He also prayed that the Good Lord will continue to the family fortitude to bear the loss and may his gentle soul rest in the bosom of the lord, he added.
