Malam Baba Sani Adamu, an ex-serviceman and personal driver to President Muhammad Buhari when he was military governor of Borno State, has called on the President to assist him to live a comfortable life.

Buhari was the military governor of the then North-Eastern state (now Borno) between July 1975 and March 1976.

Adamu, who currently lives in a dilapidated family house in the Ngomari ward of Maiduguri and can barely feed himself, has in a viral video that has Daily Correspondents, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to come to his assistance.
Adamu’s video has, however, attracted the attention of some prominent politicians and citizens of Borno State who immediately responded with cash, clothing, and food items.

The Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development in Borno State, Hajiya Zuwaira Gambo, who visited the ex-serviceman at his residence in Maiduguri on Thursday, presented assorted food items and an undisclosed amount of money on behalf of the wife of Nigeria’s President, Aisha Buhari.
The Commissioner also promised to secure a befitting accommodation to the ex-serviceman.
Also, Barrister Mustapha Busuguma, the Principal Secretary to the Borno State governor, also sent in clothing materials and cash to assist Baba Adamu.
