COVID-19: El-Rufai Take Decision In Reopening Of Churches And Mosque, Give Guidelines

The state governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai, has further stated on Wednesday, 10th June 2020, the Quarantine Order will be amended in the state, buy permitting to reopen the state business and worship centers.

The state Governor paid tribute to the good people of Kaduna State in a statewide broadcast on Tuesday 10th June 2020, for their immense sacrifice in the last two-and-half months as helpful measures against the deadly Virus Covid-19.

 The state governor explained that schools and markets would remain closed since reopening of schools and markets remain unsafe.

He also added that relevant stakeholders on the matter would be engaged to determine the appropriate timing and conditions precedent.

The governor further explained, “Businesses can reopen, subject to the provision of thermometers for temperature checks, sanitizers or handwashing equipment and physical distancing measures within all facilities. Working hours will be 9 am to 3 pm daily”.

He said that Church services are allowed only on Sundays, and Mosques are allowed to conduct only Friday Jumat services, for the time being, subject to compliance with the safety stipulations above.’
