The Screening Appeal Committee of All Progressive Congress (APC), on Saturday, upheld the disqualification of Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, from participating in the party’s primary election.

Dr. Abubakar Fari, the Chairman of the appeal panel, submitted the report of the committee to the Adams Oshiomhole-led National Working Committee.

Fari also revealed that out of the three disqualified aspirants, only one person appealed the decision.

“We have looked at the grounds on which Obaseki was disqualified, and I would say the disqualification has solid ground,” Fari said.

It also noted that the Governor has two separate voter cards, which is illegal.

The committee also noted that the forms submitted by Obaseki have so many inconsistencies.

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Dr. Pius Odubu and Mr. Osaro Obaze are the three successful applicants to partake in the June 22 primary election.
