Hadi Sirika, the minister of Aviation, has clarified making the rounds that the closure of international airspace will be extended till October 15, 2020.
Due to COVID-19 in the country, the International flights were suspended in March.
Hadi Sirika, on Tuesday, July 20, 2020, clarified that the circular by Nigerians Airspace Management Agent NAMA is a 90-day routine notice to the airmen not to an extension of the ban.
Hadi Sirika has on his official Twitter page, hinting that the resumption of flight operation is announced soon and maybe by October.
Hadi Sirika Wrote: “International flight resumption date is not October. NAMA just issued 90-day routine Notices to Airmen (NOTAM).
“In liaison with Health, Foreign Affairs & PTF COVID-19, we’ll announce the agreed date, regardless of the ban by Europe, UAE etc. May be earlier than October.”
