Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo is rumoured to have purchased the one-of-a-kind Bugatti La Voiture Noire. Reports have suggested that Ronaldo purchased the car for €11million (£9.49million) – making it the most expensive car in the world.
This is not the footballer’s first Bugatti as the Portuguese winger purchased a Chiron last year.
Spanish sports paper Marca reported that Ronaldo bought the car although previous claims said Ferdinand Piech, former chairman of the Volkswagen Group, purchased the vehicle.
Whoever the owner is will not be able to drive it until 2021 as the car is still being finalised.
The La Voiture Noire was first unveiled to the world to the world as the Geneva Motor Show 2019.
It was built by the French carmaker as a one of a kind supercar to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the company being founded.
The car has reportedly is said to be a homage to Jean Bugatti’s iconic Type 57 SC Atlantic.
Powering the vehicle is an 8.0-litre 16-cylinder engine which produces 1,479bhp and 1,600NM of torque.
The vehicle is also said to have a top speed of around 260mph and will accelerate rapidly.
Its styling is incredibly aggressive and features sharp and precise lines. This is arguably one of the best looking Bugatti has made in recent years with the aggressive styling upfront and more pronounced grille.
Its rear end is probably the highlight of the design due to the way the body rolls over the rear wheel arches into the spoiler.
