He said the date given by Hadi Sirika, Aviation Minister, would be used for consideration of resumptions of flights.

Aliyu said that there is an urgent need for authority to meet the criteria before the international flight is allowed to open.

“We can spend a whole day discussing international travel and how this will be done. And if I may clarify, we didn’t say on the 29th of August, but we said from the 29th of August.

“So, very similar to what we did for the domestic flights. Don’t come back and say that we promised we would open on the 29th, but that date is not sacrosanct, but we will work towards it,” he stated.

The commencement of flights will start with Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja and Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos.
