The immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has denied that he’s no longer interested in the position and has not plotted the return in the state.
Adams Oshiomhole, made this statement on Monday while addressing State House Correspondents after meeting with President Buhari at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.
He was reacting to the recent statement made by Salihu Lukman, Director-General of the Progressive Congress Forum (PGF), that Oshiomhole was scheming to return to the helm of the ruling party.
Oshiomhole has continued to insist he won’t return to the class he has passed.
“You see, I want to media to interrogate this, when I was removed as chairman, Edo state was APC. So do I need to win the Edo election to become chairman? Do I look unemployed? I am 68.
So, they don’t understand that it is not the office of the National Chairman that made me who I am.
“So it is only an empty brain that will suggest that Oshiomhole wants to stage a comeback as the national chairman. For what? To go and do a resit?
