Federal Governments of Nigeria is set to release a list of countries that can fly into the country.

This decision was made as the reopening of international flights was shifted to Friday, 4 September.

During the daily briefings of the Presidential Task Force (PTFs) on COVID-19 on Thursday, Captain Musa Nuhu, the Director-General of Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), noted the list to be ready by next-week .

“In due course and very shortly, we will announce the protocols once the logistics are done, the protocols for the resumptions, and also further details on the principles of reciprocity that we mentioned will be given.

“We are looking at a list, and we are working on that, and hopefully early next week, we will release it,” Nuhu said.

Recall that last week, Hadi Sirika, the Minister of Aviation, clarified that Nigeria’s government would apply the principle of reciprocity.

The Minister also explained that this principle is also to ban other countries that banned flights from Nigeria, not to be allowed to fly into Nigeria.
