COVID-19: Nigeria needs prayers – Gov. Sanwo-Olu

The Lagos States Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said that the Coronavirus pandemic in the country shows that Nigeria needs serious prayers.

Governor Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state said this during an opening ceremony of the 2nd Session of the 34th Synod of Anglican Communion Dioceses of Lagos State, yesterday, IXM reports.

Sanwo-Olu also urged all Nigerians to intensify prayers as the country goes through difficult times.

Nigerian should continue to adhere to safety guidelines of COVID-19 by the necessary agencies, he added.

Governor Sanwo-Olu’s statement reads: “COVID-19 has shown us in reality that we need to pray. We are not out of it yets; we need to continue to take precautions. Your prayers have held us all together.

 “The church has also participated in a series of activities during the lockdown, various donations have been given to the citizens, and I thank all churches for these.

“This is a painful thing, and as a government, we will continue to do what we need to do to keep life alive.”
