The Kogi State Ministry of Educations, Science and Technology finally announced to the general public a shift in the dates for its schools’ examinations.
The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mr. Emmanuel Idenyi, announced in a statement made at lokoja on Friday.
IXM reports that the ministry had earlier released the timetable for reopening of school and also the examinations in which the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) was dated between September 28 and October 7.
However, the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) was earlier sh3eduled for October 17 while the Basic Six Examination (FSLCE) for October 13.
Mr. Emmanuel also explained that the shift in the internal examinations’ date was taken after a series of engagements with the relevant stakeholders.
All unforeseen issues raised by the stakeholders will be harmonized before announcing new dates and revised time table for the examination, Idenyi added.
The permanent secretary also added that all stakeholders would take a position that would be convenient and acceptable to all.
