BREAKING: Army officers arrive Lagos Judicial Panel venue, to show Lekki shooting footage

The officers of the Nigerian Army from 81 Division have arrived the Lagos Court of Arbitration, the venue where the probe of alleged shootings of End SARS protesters by soldiers, at the Lekki toll gate on October 20 in Lagos.

The Army had submitted the names of a Lieutenant Colonel and three Lieutenant Generals who will testify before the panel, following a summon by the retired Justice Doris Okwuobi-led panel of Inquiry.

The Army said it is ready to show the videos that captured their activities at the toll gate in that night, while vehemently denying ever shooting at or killing any of the protesters.

The Commander of 81 Military Intelligence Brigade, Victoria Island, Lagos, Brig. Gen. Ahmed Taiwo led the military officers to the panel.

As at when filing this report, everyone including lawyers, soldiers, journalists and other persons are all sited in the hearing hall, awaiting the panel members arrival.
