Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, MACBAN, has denied being involved in the negotiation that led to the release of the abducted students of Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Kastina State.

The Kastina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari had earlier said the state government contacted Miyetti Allah to help negotiate the release of over 330 abducted students.

However, Baba Othman Ngelzarma, the National Secretary of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, had made it clear that there is nothing like that, Daily Sun reports.

According to Ngelzarma, “unless the governor was discussing with the Katsina State branch of the association, but definitely not with the national leadership.”

In like manner, the National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Bello Abduallahi Bodejo, also insisted that nobody contacted them or discussed any issue of such matter with them.

Bodejosaid: “We don’t know the bandits, and we don’t want to know them, and we don’t have anything to do with them. No member of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore even at local levels knows the bandits.”

The bandits released the schoolboys on Thursday, and they met with President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday.
