The US electoral Congress has confirmed the President-elect, Joe Biden, as the country’s President.
The United States Lawmakers, who officially confirmed Joe Biden as the country’s 46th president and Kamala Harris as Vice President, were under heavily-armed guard after police regained control of the Capitol in Washington.
Joe Biden had defeated the United States incumbent President, Donald Trump, in the last 2020 presidential election.
Despite the defeat, Donald Trump had vowed never to concede defeat.
Trump had claimed that Joe Biden rigged the presidential election.
