The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has given a fresh appointment to the former Emir of Kano Emirates, Mohammed Sanusi.
Sanusi was appointed as the Vice-Chairman of the Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency (KADIPA).
El Rufai asked the agency to make the state the topmost investment destination in Nigeria by redoubling its efforts and improve the ranking in ease of doing business.
El Rufai formally welcomed Sanusi II to the board as he performs the formal inauguration.
He appreciated the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, for accepting the offer and said the agency has been very successful and important in driving the investments in Kaduna state.
He stated that over $2.1billion have to be extracted in both actual and pledged investments since 2015.
El Rufai went further to state that KADIPA will compete with other states and all emerging markets.
In response, Sanusi II expressed confidence in attending the first meeting since he became a member and promised to put his best in making KADIPA grow.
