A family of five who were getting back to their base in Abuja have been kidnapped by gunmen suspected to be abductors in Ondo State.
The victims who were on their way to Abuja after the Easter festival in their hometown of Ajowa-Akoko in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State were captured at Ajowa and Ayere in Kogi State.
According to a local of Ajowa, Ibrahim Olusa, the victims were a spouse, wife, and three children.
He added that they were kidnapped at gunpoint while leaving the local area to Abuja where they live.
A family source disclosed to DAILY POST that the criminals have reached the family, requesting 10 million Naira as payment before they can be delivered.
Following the turn of events, there has been worry and tension in the community.
An inhabitant of Ajowa Akoko and the immediate past Chairman of Ajowa-Akoko people group gathering, Ajayi Bakare, attributed the kidnappings and burglaries inside the hub to the miserable condition of the streets.
