Unknown gunmen at the early hours of Thursday assaulted the Mbieri Police Division in Imo State.
The Command’s Spokesman, SP Orlando Ikeokwu affirmed the assault to newsmen in Owerri on Thursday, NAN reports.
He said officials of the Division repulsed the bandits after a weapon fight, keeping them from completing their obnoxious demonstration.
Ikeokwu said two cops sustained wounds simultaneously and were presently accepting treatment at an undisclosed clinic.
As indicated by him, no official was kidnapped in the assault, and no deficiency of arms also.
Review that the Isiala-Mbano Police Division, Ehime-Mbano, Obowo, Ihite-Uboma, Mbieri just as the police central command have all been assaulted by unknown shooters.
Likewise, this new attack brings the number of police headquarters attacked in the state between January and April to six.
