The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has arrested a former governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed over supposed N9 billion Frauds.
Infoxclusive.com.ng discovered that Ahmed was invited and detained by a crack group of EFCC agents at the office’s base camp in Jabi, Abuja.
Ahmed showed up at the office around 10am on Monday, to respond to the invitation given him by the agency. He was in the interrogation room for about seven hours, writing statements.
The agents reportedly questioned him on the whereabouts of about N9 billion purportedly redirected from the coffers of the Kwara State government.
The cash was asserted to have been dubiously moved during Mr Ahmed’s tenure as governor of the state, and when he served in as the Commissioner for Finance in the administration of former governor, Bukola Saraki.
