A Ghanaian broadcaster, Nana Yaa Brefo has slammed the leadership of the Pentecost Church for building prisons at Ejura, when there are a lot of members in his church suffering from abject poverty.
She argued that the church should have taken the needs of the poor, widows, sick, and even job seekers as a major priority.
“Why should you build a prison when you have the majority of people like the sick, the aged, job seekers, widows, and orphans suffering inside the church? Why o Why? Don’t you know you and your pastors could be sleeping there?” she angrily slammed”
She said the church should fix their members first before thinking of going out to receive praises from people.
Recall, under the leadership of Apostle Eric Nyamekye, the Pentecost Church has built ultra-modern prisons to decongest inmates in some of the prisons around Ghana.
The Ejura prison which is located in the Ashanti Region is one of the numerous prisons the church is planning to build. Photos of the prison shared online show how well furnished with beautiful kitchen, working area, sports centre, etc
