The Federal Government has recently announced that about 45,000 passport booklets produced by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) are yet to be collected.
The citizens who are involved are advised to visit respective enrolment centers nationwide and abroad for the collection.
Text messages have already been sent to all the applicants who are yet to pick up their passports.

It was disclosed during a review meeting of the NIS management, that 230,000 passports have been rolled out.
Rauf Aregbesola who is the Interior Minister assured that the problem of booklet shortage is being tackled.
“We extended the deadline for clearing of backlogs by one week because we found out many were yet to collect their passports which had already been produced”, he said.
The federal government has fixed the new date for the start of fresh applications to be June 8, 2021.
On April 22, Aregbesola met with Passport Control Officers and Attaches across the world. The minister directed the reform of the Passport Application Processing.
