Oguchi Unachukwu, a Germany-bound Nigerian, was purportedly shot dead by the officers of the 211 Regiment, Nigerian Air Force, in Owerri, Imo State, on Monday.

Oguchi was shots dead at the tollgate of the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, on his approach to get a flight to Lagos, from where he was to get onto a flight to Germany.

Onyekachi said, his elder brother, who spoke to the press on Tuesday, revealed that one of the Air Force men shot Oguchi saying that he drove off at a checkpoint on the Airport Road after they had flagged him down.

Onyekachi, “The Air Force men stopped my brother and he stopped. He moved after they had stopped him, feeling that they have asked him to move without knowing that they asked him to pack beside the road so they could look through him and the vehicle. “

Oyekachi further said that it was unfortunate that Oguchi was killed by the security staff that was intended to protect him.

As reporters reported, the remaining of this victim has been kept in a mortuary of Federal Medical Center, Owerri.

According to sources who unveiled that Oguchi who had been in Owerri for three months ago had dedicated his second little girl in church two months prior.

Bala Elkana, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, when reached said that he was not in the correct situation to represent another security organization.

Then again, Simeon, the advertising official of the Nigeria Air power in the state, said he didn’t know about the incident.

He said, “It isn’t accurate. I have not caught wind of the episode, yet how might Air Force staff shoot somebody? ” .
