The Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), Rev Fr. Ejike Mbaka has been banned by the Catholic church.
According to the Cable, the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Callistus Onaga, in a letter to the priest also stated that the adoration ministry to chaplaincy.
Following the new development. Mbaka will no longer solely oversee the activities of the adoration ministry as its spiritual director, this is because making it a chaplaincy means the Enugu Diocese now controls the ministry and the bishop have the right to appoint a chaplain to oversee the operations of the chapel.
The bishop in the letter also stated that he can appoint any ministerial officer to “assist the chaplains to oversee the pastoral activities of the ministry.”
This directive from the bishop was announced after Mbaka resumed church activities of the ministry which was suspended after he went on a one-month private retreat.
