Amidst June 12 nationwide protest, Ojota area of Lagos has been getting tense as Youths came out in masses to protest against insecurity in the country.

Some group of youth has stage demonstrations, in the nation’s capital, Abuja, Ondo, Osun, and others.

Rallies has been fixed today to decry for the current state of things in the country, they also planned to march against the annulment of the June 12 Presidential election by Ibrahim Babagida regime.

The presumed winner, Moshood Olawale Kashimawo (MKO) Abiola, was apprehended in treason charges after declaring himself president. The late business mogul died on 7 July 1998, the day he was due to be released from prison.

According to report in Ojota, Security operatives fired teargas and shot in the air to disperse protesters while footage shows the moment some police officers were dragging a civilian away.

Muyiwa Adejobi, the Police Public Relation Officer in Lagos state told the newsmen that Officers are ensuring that peace and calmness is maintained across the state.
