The Lagos state police command, said they are not aware of the plan by Yoruba activist, Sunday to storm Lagos state for a Yoruba Nation Rally.
Sunday Igboho has made it public about his intention to shut down the street of Lagos for a mass rally to sensitize Lagosians about his secession agenda, Infoxclusive learned.
Let it be recalled that similar rallies were held recently in Osun, Ondo, Ogun and Ekiti states.
The Yoruba activist insisted that he would storm the Centre of Excellence on July 3 for the next Yoruba Nation rally.
Following the planned rally, Lagos state police said they are not aware of it.
Muyiwa Adejobi, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer made this known to newsmen during an interview on Monday.
He said that the command would react appropriately and make sure that things are put under control.
Speaking on phone, Adejobi said: “I am not aware of that (Sunday Igboho’s planned Lagos rally). When the command is aware, the command will react to that. For now, as I speak with you, we are not aware of that.”
Recent reports have it that Sunday Igboho has been leading the agitation for the secession of the Yoruba race from the Nigerian nation.
Igboho has repeatedly asked killer herdsmen to vacate the South West region, saying “we can’t be slaves in our fatherland.”
