Photos of abducted students of Federal Government College, Birnin, Yauri, a staff, and their captors have surfaced online.
As seen in the photo, the victims were kneeling while their abductors stood behind them holding guns and other weapons last Thursday, June 17.
Infoxclusive reported that armed bandits have abducted an undisclosed number of students of Federal Government College, Birnin, Yauri, and staff.
Infoxclusive learned that aside from the kidnap of the staff and student, the terror group also shot security personnel during an exchange of gunfire.
A close source disclosed that the bandits were heavily armed, and they came on motorcycles, entered the town from the neighbouring Rijau forest in Niger State.
According to a statement released on Sunday, by Army spokesperson, Onyeama Nwachukwu, he disclosed that troops of the Nigerian Armed Forces successfully rescued three students and one staff of the Federal Government College, Yauri, Kebbi State.
The rescue mission was carried out two days after five students were rescued alongside two staff of the college.
The Nigerian army said the troops also killed one bandit and recovered nine motorcycles and four mobile phones from the fleeing bandits.
The army spokesperson added that the troops have been deployed to the forest to ensure the safe return of the remaining captives.
