Recalling that the DSS has earlier admitted that they carried out the attack on Sunday Igboho’s residence arrested the wife of Sunday with other family members and denied killing of about 7 dead victim as reported said that they killed only 2 persons.
Notwithstanding, the Nzuko Umunna has said that the co-incident operation carried out by the security officers in the county is always associated with massive bloodshed.
Ngozi Odumuko and Pascal Mbane, the Executive Secretary of the group In a statement they signed, recalled a similar attack on the Afara-Ukwu resident of the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, , and his lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor.
Nzuko Umunna noted that the lack of accountability for these killings by security operatives may have emboldened the unacceptable breach of globally accepted rules of engagement.
“This must stop!” The group said, adding that the DSS must operate within the ambit of the laws of the land.
“We expect the DSS to conduct a thorough investigation on cases before briefing Nigerians and other stakeholders on its operations.
