Not less than nine persons have been reported dead following two separate motor clashes in Yobe State.
Usaini Ibrahim, the Public Enlightenment Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps in the state, confirmed the incident on Thursday.
According to Ibrahim, the vehicle involved in the first accident is a Toyota hummer bus with registration number BAM 286XA.
The vehicle, belonging to the Borno State Transport Authority was conveying passengers from Jos to Maiduguri.
Three passengers in the bus died while others sustained different degrees of injury.
The second accident also involved a Toyota bus with registration number KJA 012 XA heading to Potiskum. Six people died on the accident spot.
Both accidents happened on Wednesday and the corpses have been deposited at the General Hospital Potiskum mortuary.
The PRO of FRSC blamed the drivers for what he described as over-speeding and reckless driving.
