Olayomi Koiki, an aide to Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Igboho has called on Southwest to begin protest over his arrest.
Olayomi said that the protest would be staged by agitators on Wednesday afternoon in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
According to Koiki, the Yoruba Nation protesters would demand the immediate release of Sunday Igboho who is was arrested in Contonou airport, Benin Republic.
His statement reads: “Emergency, emergency, emergency, emergency.
“Please we beg all agitators to converge at Chief Sunday Igboho’s house for a peaceful demonstration to show the world the kind of person he is as one of the conditions given for his release.
“Please let’s all be at his house in Soka, Ibadan, before 12 o’clock today, thanks and God bless Yoruba nation now.”
Recall that Sunday Igboho was apprehended at Cotonou airport, Benin Republic, on Monday night.
The Oduduwa Republic agitators was said to have been arrested by Beninoise authorities while on his way to Germany.
This is coming shortly after the Department of State Services, DSS, had declared him wanted after an invasion of his residence in soka Ibadan.
DSS operatives had recently invaded Igboho’s residence in Ibadan and recovered weapons and charms.
Although the agitator escaped, some of his allies were arrested and others allegedly killed.
