As reported, President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Imo State.
We gathered that the jet carrying the President landed at the Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri, the state capital.
Following that Hope Uzodinma, the state Governor had announced President Buhari’s visit.
He said the president would commission some significant projects while in the state.
Biafra groups had earlier dismissed the planned visit.
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, had declared a sit-at-home over Buhari’s visit, saying that the president is not welcome to Imo State.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had said the president was visiting Imo to mock people of the state.
A socio-political activist, Deji Adeyanju, had said the sit-at-home order would record large success.
