Imo: Gunmen kill police officer, chop off private part

There was commotion in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State as gunmen killed a police officer.

The gunmen additionally cut off the private part of the officer recognized as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Ukam Efut.

The occurrence happened on Tuesday evening at a security checkpoint at Agwa area of the local government.

Confirming the occurrence, the Chairman of the community, Ekene Onyejiekwe, said the body of the officer has been deposited in a mortuary in Owerri, the capital.

Responding, the state police spokesman, Michael Abattam, expressed two of the gunmen were additionally killed during the attack.
