The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejar Adeboye in the midst of the controversy surrounding the All Progressive Congress (APC) Muslim-muslim ticket, uncovered that he will neither vote in favor of Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) nor Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Regardless of the outright condemnation from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) of APC’s choice of a Muslim-muslim ticket, Pastor Adeboye has neither condemned nor recognized the turn of events.
He anyway uncovered that his status warrants that he stays nonpartisan and not take side with any presidential candidate.
As per him, he sees himself as a father who shouldn’t accept side with any of the presidential candidates or encourage his members to vote in favor of a specific candidate at the cost of the others. He said such a demonstration will be completely unjust.
“why I cannot play partisan politics is because in my church there are APC, PDP, Labour and others which I don’t even know their names. That’s the reason I have never voted before. If I vote for one party I will be unjust to the other of my children who are members of other political parties. Am a father of all.”
