Yobe State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has approved 18th and 19th September as resumption dates for students in all boarding and day secondary schools across the state for the 2022/2023 academic year.
This is contained in a circular signed by the Director, Schools Management, Bukar Modu.
The round read, “RESUMPTION OF SCHOOLS FOR THE FIRST TERM 2022/2023 ACADEMIC SESSION IN YOBE STATE”, the circular urges all the stakeholders in Education, Parents and Guardians of students both public and private schools to take note of the development.
“In line with the 2022/2023 schools’ academic calendar, I am directed by the Commissioner, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Dr. Muhammad Sani Idris to write and inform all the stakeholders in Education, Parents and Guardians that schools would resume for the First Term, 2022/2023 Academic Session for both public and private schools in the state as follows:
“Sunday, 18th September 2022: Resumption for All Boarding Schools across the State;
“Monday, 19th September 2022: Resumption for All Day Students Across the State”, the circular read.
The Basic and Secondary Education Ministry additionally encouraged guardians and parents to send their kids or wards back to school as planned guaranteeing that, the Ministry has given every one of the important requirements of the students for resumption.
It likewise takes generally Zonal Coordinators to monitor and ensure compliance with the approved dates.
