The All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has asked Nigerians not to abandon the party.
Tinubu said despite the fact that Nigerians are against a failed government, they shouldn’t abandon the APC.
He talked at the funeral service of Grace Akeredolu, the mother of the Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, in the Owo region of the State.
He conceded that there may be shortcomings and deficiencies in government, however Nigerians shouldn’t abandon the party.
“Thank God we are alive, there might be weaknesses and inadequacies in expectation. No one wants failure.
“You cannot give up on us. We will do better. We will contribute to the improvement you might want,” Tinubu said.
President Muhammadu Buhari was represented by VP Yemi Osinbajo.
Likewise present at the occasion were Governors of Ogun, Prince Dapo Abiodun; Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Osun, Gboyega Oyetola and Oyo, Engr Seyi Makinde, represented by his wife, Olufunke.
