Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State on Thursday vowed to give “logistics support” for Peter Obi, the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate.
Wike said he would give logistics support during Obi’s campaign in Rivers State.
He declared his support to Obi at the venue of the Nkpolu-Oroworokwo Flyover inauguration in Port Harcourt.
The governor likewise proclaimed that Obi has the stuff to become Nigeria’s president.
According to Wike: “Each time you want to campaign in the state, let me know, all the logistics support, we will give to you.”
Obi, his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, and a few individuals from the LP presidential campaign group were in Rivers for the commissioning of the 9th flyover by Wike’s administration.
In the past couple of months, Wike has been collaborating with chieftains of other political parties.
Wike’s activity can be traced to his complaint with the leadership of the People Democratic Party, PDP, following his loss at the party’s presidential primaries.
