US approves no-interview student visa renewals for Nigerians

The United States Government has approved renewal of student visa with no-interview for Nigerians.

The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Mission made the announcement in a statement on Wednesday.

It expressed Nigerians on a F1 or academic J1 visa might be qualified for renewal without an interview when back home over the winter break.

To qualify, the applicants should be physically in Nigeria and renewing a student visa that is still valid or has expired within the past 24 months.

The are two permissible reasons for renewals: That applicants are proceeding with participation in the same course even if at a different institution.

The second is that they are going to the same institution even if in a different major course of study.

The Embassy gave the obligation to return passports within two weeks from the appointment date and focus on required follow up interviews.

The students were asked to visit the U.S Travel website and adhere to the instructions.

INFOXCLUSIVE assembled that the no-interview visa renewal was in response to fears that available appointment dates are from December 2024.
